Hi, Thanks for surfing by. This
is my site for my 1/32 scale slot car stuff. Like many other enthusiasts,
I am something of a "born again slotter" having first been bitten
when 7 or 8 back in the heyday of slot cars... the 60s. My father
bought me a set of Scalextric (well he said it was for me !) and as he worked
in London he used to occasionally spend his lunch hour looking around the
major toy stores. He happened to see an assistant in one of the stores ,
tending to a display of slot cars that were whizzing around a track, take
a non-runner and throw it in a box behind the counter and replace it with
a new car. He asked the assistant what he did with the contents of the box
and was told it was thrown away, usually about once a month or so.
TYRES I do find that, having my cars in the loft, they are subjected to a wide
temperature range and whilst the 60s cars are OK, the later cars
tend to develop splits in their tyres which starts to get quite irritating,
not to say expensive ! but I have been saved by the power of the Internet,
well more accurately by Jack Stinson of Columbus Ohio, who has taught
me to cast my own copies in silicone. Not only do they withstand the rigors
of my loft. They perform better too !! You will find Jacks page
in my links section.
Well, I hope you stayed long enough to read this far (you must be very bored !!) Any suggestions or comments are welcome as I am very bored too!! Feel free to E-mail me at
